• Receive and respond to requests for service and product details from the Sales team • Responsible for delivering the best possible pricing and solutions in a timely manner to the Sales team • Provide timely and accurate quotes to the Sales team • Create Deal Regs/Discount plans and any Vendor procedures that increase profitability • Provide suitable alternatives when challenges arise with products and services • Liaise with Distributors and Vendors (Manufacturers) to obtain BOMs, pricing and product availability • Research to obtain the best price, availability and terms from Distributors and Manufacturers • Verify that Customer Quotes and subsequent Purchase Orders from customers are accurate • Purchase product from Distributors and Manufacturers at the best possible price • Verify and process purchase orders with the chosen vendors • Monitor status of orders, track delivery times, and report any issue with product and or delivery • Work with the Pre-Sales and Post-Sales Technical teams, as required, to understand requirements • Effectively communicate challenges to the relevant teams, so they can manage customer expectations • Problem-solve on a day-to-day basis and complete the internal sales-admin tasks • Escalate critical issues to Management, so crises can be averted • Maintain sound product and pricing knowledge of the offerings that the company is engaged in selling • Communicate with customers, when necessary, to ensure excellent customer service • Properly maintain records in the company’s Sales Administration and Productivity systems • Work through the daily list of sales admin activities to ensure smooth company operations • Adhere to company defined sales policies and processes and enforce gross margin thresholds • Assist with any other sales support related tasks, as directed by Management
• Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills • Keen sense of urgency and attention to detail • Experience with the sales process in a technology company • Demonstrate ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-paced team environment • Proficient with general office applications and current technology • Enjoy working with customers and company staff • Self-motivated, high energy and drive to succeed • Solid verbal and written communications skills • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changes quickly • Effective time management and prioritization skills • Ability to work independently and alongside team members • Strong understanding of IT products such as servers, networks and storage
