Description

• Provide strategic talent acquisition guidance and services to internal clients • Utilize a customer-centric approach to provide exceptional experiences to both candidates and clients • Partner with leaders to understand their recruitment needs and design effective campaigns to attract top talent • Manage the selection process, advise hiring managers, negotiate employment offers, and conduct background checks • Create and post compelling job advertisements that reflect SAIT's values, focusing on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) • Champion EDI and Indigenous Engagement in all recruitment activities • Screen and assess candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the hiring process • Proactively source and engage high-quality candidates, building a strong talent pipeline for future needs • Research and implement best practices in candidate attraction and retention, staying ahead of workforce trends • Act as a SAIT ambassador, providing guidance to applicants and promoting SAIT’s culture and benefits • Continuously evaluate and improve recruitment processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency and candidate experience • Participate in events and networking opportunities to position SAIT as an employer of choice • Utilize your deep understanding of collective agreements and SAIT HR policies to support hiring decisions • Contribute to the growth and development of Human Resources by participating in projects as a subject matter expert

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or Management Administration • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment • CPHR or RPR designation is preferred • Experience in a unionized or post-secondary environment is an asset • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and large-scale HR Information Systems • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills • Ability to manage priorities independently and exercise professional judgment • A strong customer service orientation and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement • Ability to use data to inform decisions and strategies for recruitment processes • High level of cultural competence to effectively engage with diverse candidate pools and promote inclusive hiring practices • Expertise in using advanced sourcing tools and techniques, such as Boolean search, X-ray search, and social media recruiting
