Description
• Provide oversight and hands-on support to the accounting team, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), HST remittances, and daily bookkeeping tasks • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budgets • Reconcile financial reports and statements to ensure accuracy and compliance • Perform monthly profit-and-loss analytics for owner's use • Prepare analytics on sales and revenue • Maintain the standardization of data • Prepare and submit applications for farm grants • Assist with payroll duties as assigned • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure proper banking reconciliation, noting and investigating unusual entries as required • Prepare and send invoices to customers and pay suppliers in a timely manner • Enter and maintain financial data in Excel and other accounting software
Requirements
• University degree • CPA Designation or working towards certification is fine • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting • Experience using QuickBooks • Strong Excel skills • Excellent critical thinking skills • Detail-oriented and highly organized • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations based on findings • Problem-solving skills to address financial discrepancies or inefficiencies
