🔄 Hybrid – Montreal
• Global Consolidation of 5 entities into Canadian HQ entity. Create consolidated financials in CAD and USD, in accordance with IRFS/CGAAP, US GAAP, and responsible for creating monthly reporting packages. • Comprehensive oversight and accountability for audits and taxation in the United States • Manage/Own/Establish formal monthly close process, including oversight of all balance sheet reconciliations and close procedures • Lead the team through financial and statutory audits, including risk assessment, control testing, and audit report preparation. • Be an expert in relevant regulations, compliance standards, and best practices (ASC 606, etc.) • Maintain General Ledger, as well as accounting records for individual entities, for preparation of any statutory financial and other reporting. • Drive data hygiene and consistency across org to ensure reliable metric creation and reporting • Co-Lead with CFO transition from Dynamics GP to Sage Intacct • Work with CFO to create and maintain annual Budgets and Forecasts • Work with bookkeepers in France, Germany & Australia. • Run teams/processes responsible for invoicing, cash collections, AP, etc. • Work with CFO to understand actual variances from budget, forecast, prior periods, etc. • Assist in updating and implementing accounting policies. • Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiencies and implement process improvements. • Ability to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels. • You'll lead 2 direct reports initially and contribute to team expansion. • Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed.
• CPA License (required) and a degree in Accounting or Finance • Robust Technical accounting experience • Strong Audit Experience - Ability to identify risks, assess controls, and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements. • Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting, including experience in a role with annual audit requirements • Multiple years’ experience in an accounting department of a medium-size company or similar type of role • Work experience with SaaS / private equity-backed companies preferred. • International accounting exposure: US, EMEA, APAC • Familiar with Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Avatax and Maxio or similar tools; Dynamics GP a PLUS • Collaborative and motivating leadership style; must be able to work in a team environment • Bilingual: French (mandatory) + English
