• Assist in coordinating the smooth and effective operation of the establishments • Supervise, schedule, train, develop, and motivate staff within the department • Monitor and continually improve operational performance through superior customer service • Handle queries from customers and staff, and ensure the resolution of customer service and operational issues • Assist in monitoring revenue and expense levels • Perform administrative duties including but not limited to cash reconciliations, daily float preparation, inventory management, payables and receivables • Assist in the effective execution of health and safety programs, marketing and promotional strategies • Perform the duties of all staff positions within the department on a regular, fill-in basis during peak demand • Maintain the operations in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations and policies • Promote special events within the operations • Maintain the overall appearance, condition and safety of the establishments • Attend such meetings as may be required to support the smooth operation of the area
• Minimum one year of management/supervisory experience • Minimum one year of experience in a restaurant, bar or other hospitality venue • Superior interpersonal, communication, writing and analytical skills • Ability to lead teams in a positive, collaborative and effective manner • Ability to work responsibly with little or no supervision • Knowledge of budgeting and staffing procedures • High level of creativity and motivation, and an embracer of innovation and change • Ability to work with students, staff, administration and the general public • Commitment to high professional and ethical standards • Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check • Successful candidates will be required to maintain ProServe, ProTect, Standard First Aid and provincially approved food safety certifications
