•Manage a portfolio of renewal policies assigned to you within your department. •Interact and negotiate with brokers on sales strategies, policy terms and pricing. •Seek out new business opportunities by attending corporate networking events and foster new relationships with multi-tiered brokerages. •Handle underwriters' renewal portfolios and strive to achieve target financial metrics in different lines of business. •Research Canadian and global businesses across multiple industries to identify risk factors specific to their operations, suppliers, and customers. •Analyze financial stability, corporate reputation, cyber security, products liability, and catastrophe exposure, among other factors to assess overall risk. •Analyze micro and macro-economic factors and industry trends which may impact businesses in various industries. •Make decisions on company risk profiles and provide analysis and recommendations to the underwriting team. •Assist in development of risk rating models to balance actuarial loss projections and real-market pricing. •Review renewal applications and generate quotes and binders within our underwriting platforms. •Review and monitor loss activity for broad industry trends as well as for individual clients.
