• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution. • Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives that align with the company's goals and objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to drive product development and delivery. • Manage the budget and resources of the engineering department to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the engineering department.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. • 5+ years proven experience as a Director of Engineering within Manufacturing. • Familiarity with 3D modeling software. • Experience in running R&D projects from start to finish, across core disciplines: Automation & Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Development. • Knowledge of drafting software, with experience in AutoCAD considered an advantage. • Experience in mechanical, automation, and software development. • Skilled in R&D project management, familiar with Agile (Scrum) methodologies for R&D projects, and Waterfall methodologies (using tools like Jira and MS Project) for customer projects. • Familiarity with Vault, Content Center, and CAD to BOM workflows. • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems. • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. • Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Fluency in English and French is preferred.
