Description

• Reporting directly to the CTO, the Software Development Manager will provide technical direction on business decisions and execution of specific projects. • Team leads work coordination • Provide supervision, support and guidance to development teams • Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly • Analyze current technologies used within the company and determine ways to improve • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions • Design and support implementation of technical architecture • Inform various stakeholders about any technical problems • Support the technical team when technical problems arise • Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have • Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science • At least 12 years of experience in software development and system administration • An excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system including system administration • An excellent knowledge of Web based applications • Proficiency in development including building dynamic customer-facing web apps using APIs • A good knowledge of the databases • A good understanding of coding languages (Java, PHP, JavaScript, Python...) • A good understanding of best practices regarding system security measures • A good understanding of the build and deployment technologies • Experience in engineering and software architecture design • Experience with Cloud infrastructure • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, multi-tasking environment • Effective problem-solving skills • Efficient communication skills • Good leadership skills
