• Conduct comprehensive QA testing of electronic hardware designs, including functional, performance, and reliability testing. • Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures based on design specifications and industry standards. • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports on findings and recommendations. • Work closely with design engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet quality and performance standards. • Identify hardware issues and work with the engineering team to develop and implement corrective actions. • Develop automated tests for scaling hardware verification capabilities. • Maintain thorough documentation of test procedures, results, and QA processes. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible. • Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process. • Support the rest of the Blackline organization with your deep understanding of the Blackline products and services.
• A degree preferably in engineering, computer science or similar. • Strong background in electronics testing, capable of understanding and reviewing schematics. • Experience with testing HW and firmware. • Experience with common HW test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, function generators, soldering equipment). • Experience with SQL with the purpose of data validation is an asset. • Experience with data reporting is an asset. • Experience with troubleshooting customer issues is an asset. • Experience with testing gas detector devices is an asset • Experience with Python scripting is an asset. • Strong communication skills. • Familiarity with GPS, cellular and satellite communications. • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. • Experience with defect tracking software (e.g., JIRA) • Experience with Test Rail Test Case Management Software or similar is an asset.
