• Manage projects and direct team members to ensure work is carried out in alignment with the planned schedule and cost budget targets, maintaining responsibility for overall project health • Provide strong leadership to project team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths to ensure project targets are achieved • Identify and manage opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets • Lead and control all change management as per the Project Management Manual • Ensure implementation and active participation in the corporate Health & Safety Program by the project team • Take the lead on (or delegate as necessary, while remaining accountable) the project quality control program and/or the quality management system • Prepare and execute Work Plans and schedules • Manage the procurement process including subcontractor/trade/supplier negotiations and awards, and compile POs/Subcontract documents as per Hall’s Procurement Manual • Review and approve subcontractor/supplier progress applications, payment certificates, and invoices • Liaise with consulting engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding the contract, change notices, design revisions, RFIs, RFQs, etc. • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support project progression • Assist the site supervisor with field staff, as required • Visit the project site and engage with the site supervisor (Foreman/Superintendent) at least 1-2 times per week, per project, depending on project requirements • Mentor other project teams to help develop their skill set and exposure to work and issues that will help them grow into future roles within the organization • Compile the final quality document for turnover to the client at project completion • Thoroughly review and understand contracts, ensuring correspondence language, formal or informal, matches contract requirements • Special attention is to be given to contractual response times, including but not limited to claims, to ensure that response times are adhered to for all items
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Piling & Foundations, preferably experience with CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) • Must be eligible to work in Canada, with current work visa status • Must possess excellent English communication skills • Minimum 5+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably in the construction industry • Bachelor's degree is preferable • P.Eng and/or PMP considered an asset • Fluency in spoken and written English • Strong with data analysis and its application, as required • Interpreting Cost Reports • Excellent communication and leadership qualities • Adept at working in a team environment and leading team meetings and group tasks • Prioritizes Health & Safety above all and expects the same from others • Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve in a timely manner • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills • Capacity to build a network with clients, subcontractors, and all project stakeholders, with a focus on excellent customer service • Understands how to prioritize workload and be responsive • Comfortable with conflict or challenging conversations with clients and colleagues
