Description
• Technical developer focused on seasonal developments across high-performance textiles • Develop best-in-class textiles that significantly impact product success • Learn alongside industry partners through hands-on experience • Focus on high-performance toolbox and on-time delivery in the materials space • Drive product and brand forward in alignment with supply chain goals • Communicate trim development status and updates to leadership • Initiate and inform seasonal wear testing, in partnership with wear test team • Operate and train on in-house lab equipment to record and inform performance attributes
Requirements
• 3+ years of industry experience related to materials and trims • Degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Industrial Design, or equivalent industry experience • Working knowledge of the design and development process from inception through to final adoption • Extensive knowledge of trims and construction • Thorough understanding of trims manufacturing, including dying, finishing, printing, molding, etc • Previous materials laboratory testing experience • Effectively balance autonomy and collaboration with multiple teams • Partner effectively with diverse networks of internal and external cultures and teams • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks within tight deadlines • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PLM systems • Physical ability to handle small boxes and rolls of fabric, etc • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity • Inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement • Seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
