• Participate in the assessment of client strengths and abilities • Support clients to engage in the community through recreation and volunteer activities • Ensure a positive, safe, and predictable environment for clients • Research for and creation of program workshops • Communicate and liaise with families and other community partners • Conduct outreach, research, and networking to identify and attract employers • Contribute and work with job developers across the agency • Develop, implement, and maintain client Individualized Support Plans and records • Responsible for petty cash used to support client activities • Liaise with Developmental Services Ontario regarding the intake process • Represent JVS Toronto at job fairs and community events • Demonstrate ability to carry out safety requirements and emergency procedures
• College Diploma in Social Services or related field with 1-2 years of experience working with adults with disabilities • High School Diploma with 5-6 years of experience working with adults with disabilities • Effective communication abilities and time management skills • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a team environment and relate to clients and stakeholders • Computer literate; ability to learn systems used by the agency (e.g., SalesForce) • Clear Police Vulnerable Sector check required • Up to date CPR and First Aid certification preferred • Up to date CPI Certification preferred
