• Provide accounting functions and operational cost control for assigned projects • Support project life-cycle cost management • Coordinate setup of new projects • Manage account related activities • Generate client invoices and track billing information • Maintain and monitor project budgets • Review and correct cost coding discrepancies • Verify and administer contracts with subcontractors • Manage and process accruals for project costs • Reconcile project costs for accuracy • Provide support for processing change orders • Compile information for audits • Assist Project Controller • Support project profitability analysis • Contribute to financial forecasting • Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses • Provide support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable • Manage closeout process for completed projects • Ensure adherence to established systems and processes • Organize and facilitate cost accrual meetings
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration • Construction background desired • 3-5 years of relevant experience • Proficiency in Excel required • Experience with JD Edwards or SAP preferred • Cost control/Project Control background an asset • Detail oriented and excellent at problem solving • Positive attitude with a strong emphasis on teamwork • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work effectively under pressure • Reliable and enthusiastic work ethic • Good communication skills
