• As a Designer, you will design experiences for a large-scale eCommerce platform. • You will collaborate with a team of designers and copywriters to bring digital ideas to life. • With an exacting eye, ensure that layouts and assets are pixel perfect. • Receive asset handoffs, organize them, export and compress, then communicate effectively so they can be easily referenced and integrated by content managers and engineering teams. • Implement efficient working processes for asset production and enhance communication methods. • Optimize and compress assets, balance image quality and file weight for responsive viewports. • Perform visual QA, focusing on asset quality as it interacts with code and design systems. • Contribute to the design and production of large-scale digital projects for Google including e-commerce, content, branding, social and more. • Build presentations, craft documentation and deliver asset kits to developers and other team members. • Design, repurpose and package regional kits for global regions. • Act as a leader and a team player by contributing to the creative execution of the company’s efforts and putting the client and the team before yourself. • Bring a point-of-view with fresh perspectives to the team. • Work with minimal processes in place, solving problems by being optimistic and using proactive thought processes and skills.
• 2-3 years experience working on e-commerce, design systems or other web/digital platforms. • Knowledge, communicative and analytical skills equivalent to those normally obtained through receipt of a Bachelor's Degree in a design, visual arts or a related field, or equivalent years of additional related professional experience. • Knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, brand development, and the creative process. • Design tool mastery: • Figma or similar tools - proven experience using components and design system libraries. • Photoshop, from a technical perspective - understanding layer interactions such as blending mode, masking, artboards, smart objects; export settings and computer graphics (not to be confused with graphic design). • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to build presentations and confidently present to stakeholders at all levels in a professional and effective manner. • An open and curious mind in all areas of creative and design work and the ability to remain positive even in the most challenging of situations. • A solid point-of-view and a collaborative nature. • Excellent organizational skills and a very high level of attention to detail. • High level of ability to set goals and priorities in a constantly changing environment. • Possesses a high level of problem-solving ability in order to develop the solutions needed to address clients needs. • Follow through and ownership of getting a job completed on time even with tight deadlines. • Dedicates time to understand the requested task, or feedback and decisions being made. Isn’t afraid to ask questions to ensure clarity for informed decision making. • Communicates effectively one on one and in large groups.
