• Empower business teams by providing product counseling and negotiating agreements • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guide business strategies • Provide legal support on innovative new products and negotiate with major banks and technology companies • Work collaboratively and independently to address legal risks and enhance business innovation • Ensure legal compliance and effective risk communication
Requirements
• A J.D. or LL.B. • A license to practice law in any common law province in Canada (preferably Ontario and/or Quebec) • Relevant legal experience, ideally at a top-tier law firm followed by in-house experience • Substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements • Substantial experience providing legal counsel on new product developments • Experience leading and managing projects • A keen interest in creative legal problem-solving • Experience managing external legal counsel • Exceptional business judgment and relationship-building skills • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment
