Description

• Reporting to the Director of Exhibit Sales & Sponsorship, the Exhibit Sales & Outdoor Retail Assistant role will actively contribute to achieving the team's objectives by assisting with the administration and coordination of logistics for a portfolio of clients • Suited to an individual with a desire to learn more about event production and vendor management in the events industry • Will assist in the office in the lead up to the fair and shift to an outdoor focus during the fair period • Responsibilities include general office support, maintain customer service excellence, assist with indoor and outdoor show operations, update vendor and event databases, event planning, work orders, coordinate photography list, liaise with event support staff, assist with move-in and move-out of outdoor retail vendors, complete daily evaluation reports, ensure compliance with CNE rules and regulations, assist in investigating and resolving complaints

Requirements

• Currently pursuing post-secondary education with a focus in event management OR equivalent work experience would be preferred • Extraordinary attention to detail • Self-starter, ambitious in nature • Strong project management and time management skills are essential • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite in particular PowerPoint and Excel) • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality • Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant demeanor • Strong customer service skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a polished manner
