Description

• Review and understand customers’ requirements • Design, develop, review, and test software as part of a multifunctional team • Bring innovative solutions to problems and challenge assumptions • Balance business needs with technical feasibility • Develop and test user interfaces that offer a great user experience • Correct any defects found in the code by QA or by customer • Provide feedback to the team leader of any changes that would adversely affect deadlines • At times, perform peer code reviews • Write code according to EBS standards and best practices • Adhere to all established policies and procedures • Provide feedback to the manager on ways to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the team • Ensure performance and scalability requirements are met

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience • Experience developing backend applications in Java • Familiarity with ERP application • Understanding of object-oriented design patterns and REST services • Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) • Familiarity with IDEs and version control (Eclipse, Git, Maven) • Experience with interfacing technologies such as XML, JSON, web services (REST, SOAP), EDI, as well as ETL (extract, transform, and load) concepts and technologies • Experience with unit testing (Junit, Jest, ….) • Familiarity with Model-View-Controller design pattern, JSPs, Servlets, and EJBs • Experience with Java build automation tools (Maven) • DevOps experience (logging, monitoring, alerts, optimizations, support) • Experience with Eclipse, Subversion, TortoiseSVN, and secondly with WSAD and PVCS is an asset • Experience with Agile Development, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec
