Description

• Develop, manage and oversee implementation of communications and marketing materials supporting Langara’s student recruitment, admissions and retention goals for domestic, Indigenous, International and Continuing Studies students • Drive strategy to improve overall communication to current students • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures, and ensure quality control across all channels

Requirements

• 5+ years of directly related experience in managing content strategy, writing and editing • 3+ years’ experience in a managerial, supervisory or leadership role • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as communications, journalism, marketing management • Natural talent for persuasive, call-to-action-driven writing for a young audience • Exceptional English communication skills, including writing, public speaking and presentation skills • Strong analytic skills and understanding of data-driven marketing • Able to innovate, problem-solve, take initiative, and exercise tact, confidentiality and diplomacy • Able to work independently, establishing priorities for yourself and direct reports • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • Work well under pressure and take pride in meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations • Good knowledge of the British Columbia and Canadian education systems • Experience supervising and managing staff, including hiring, evaluating and mentoring • Stay current on new trends and technologies in digital marketing and identify opportunities to leverage them in support of the organization’s goals
