Description
• Support the configuration, enhancement, adoption and ongoing maintenance of Orbis/MCH to support SAIT’s WIL framework/strategy and goals • Monitor Orbis Client Support Site for releases notes and system patches while networking with other Orbis User Institutions. Provide recommendations for enhancements and configuration improvements based on this information • Monitor all modules after Orbis site updates to ensure configurations and workflows are working appropriately • Perform system testing for new solutions, defect resolution and upgrades • Attend regular Orbis Client webinars and training sessions • Facilitate monthly meetings with Orbis Product Success Coach • Maintain awareness of emerging trends in other WIL systems/platforms (i.e. Riipen) and make recommendations for adaptations of current platforms and new technologies to aid in data and document management. Monitoring and updating training and user guide documents is necessary and working with end users to ensure system configurations match specifications across all WIL types. • Respond to requests for help from end users (students, staff/faculty, employers), which includes troubleshooting problems and suggest solutions; resolve where possible and refer more complex issues to either ITS or Orbis as necessary • Contribute to the development of quick reference guides and other supporting aides for staff and external users (student, alumni, employers). • Provide onboarding and training to new internal Orbis/MCH users • Create/modify Orbis user accounts for administrators, staff/faculty, industry partners, and alumni. • Conduct periodic audits of Orbis user accounts • Collaborates with process owners within CAS & the schools to gather business requirements, analyze business and user needs, document requirements and revise existing system configurations as necessary: • This includes adapting existing WIL experiential platform templates and workflows so that all current WIL courses and activities are integrated into Orbis/MCH • Integrating new WIL courses and activities when they are created • Responsible for the full lifecycle of data within SAIT WIL Systems including Orbis/My Career Hub, Outcome Campus Connect TalentED YYC Portal, SAIT’s CRM etc. and ensuring data quality and adherence to Data Governance policies and procedures are followed. • Understand the student, alumni and employer and data required of interfaces to ensure system and data integrity • Work with the Manager, Career Advancement Services to resolve data issues • Complete on-going Data Steward training provided by the DG Governance Office • Attend bi-weekly Data Governance meetings • In collaboration with stakeholders determine report specifications to identify and extract data for investigation, design, and testing and provide analytical support • Develop and execute ad-hoc queries for immediate operational needs • Perform system and functional testing of reports
Requirements
• Post-secondary degree or diploma • 5 or more years direct experience with enterprise resource planning systems, student information system maintenance and support for post-secondary educational institutions • Data extraction, manipulation and reporting experience with SQL and reporting or data analytics applications such as Tableau or PowerBI. • Strong relationship building and relationship management skills • Proficient with database applications and effective use of relevant business systems and tools. • Strong communication skills. Capable of explaining complex technical matters to non-technical users. • Must be very detail-orientated, organized, be able to prioritize, and multi-task a variety of tasks. • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Systems, Technology, or Business Process design and improvement • Demonstrated familiarity with project management and change management principles. • Experience with data management, business process improvement or software development an asset. • Experience with forms and report design principles. • Functional experience with Orbis Outcome is an asset. • Experience with a variety of Career Advancement related software, including functions related to advising, work integrated learning, mentorship, appointments, and job board/posting. • Business Analysis (e.g.: IIBA CBAP) • Project Management (e.g.: PMI PMP) • Change Management (e.g.: ACMP CCMP) • PowerBI Data Analyst • Tableau Desktop Specialist
