Description

• Support a team of developers in designing and architecting software systems for scalability, reliability, and security • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders • Iterate quickly on all stages of automation, performance, and tooling • Maintain and improve existing code bases • Leadership in code and design reviews • Enhance applications by identifying opportunities for improvement • Ensure code quality and maintainability • Identify mentorship and coaching opportunities

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring other engineers in a player-coach capacity • Strong back-end experience with object-oriented tech stacks (primarily Python and frameworks like Flask and/or FastAPI) • Experience in other tech stacks (like Java and/or NodeJS) and frameworks (like Django) valuable • Developing on AWS, GCP, and/or Azure • Experience in CI/CD pipelines such as Github Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins • Experience with IaC practices and tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet • Proficiency and knowledge of different modern databases like Postgres and/or DynamoDB • Ability to break down complex projects into components or milestones • Motivation to influence engineering organization • Demonstrated collaboration with co-workers on cross-functional teams • Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and internal tools
