• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Regulatory Affairs, or related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, with a focus on the pet food industry. • In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, AAFCO guidelines, and international pet and feed regulations. • Strong understanding of food labeling requirements, ingredient specifications, and manufacturing processes. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. • Proven track record of successfully managing regulatory compliance projects and driving process improvements. • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills. • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working with regulatory agencies and industry associations is highly desirable.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with import and export markets and regulations. • Stay updated on international pet and feed regulations and assess their impact on product manufacturing and distribution. • Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits, licenses, and certifications for product import/export. • Conduct regulatory assessments of new ingredients, formulations, and product designs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Collaborate with R&D and FSQA teams to address regulatory issues and implement corrective actions as needed. • Develop and deliver training programs to educate internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements and best practices. • Proactively identify emerging regulatory trends and potential risks, and recommend strategies to mitigate compliance challenges. • Participate in industry associations and regulatory forums to stay informed about changes in regulations and advocate for the company's interests. • Monitor and interpret AAFCO guidelines and ensure product formulations and labeling meet regulatory requirements.
