• Ensure that construction activities adhere to environmental regulations. • Monitor and assess air, water, and soil quality during construction. • Conduct site inspections for potential environmental hazards. • Communicate findings and compliance requirements to stakeholders. • Liaise with environmental consultants and community groups. • Support compliance reporting to regulatory authorities. • Provide training on environmental best practices. • Support sustainability initiatives within the project.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. • Canadian Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control (CAN-CISEC) certification. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in infrastructure construction projects. • In-depth knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations and permitting requirements. • Proven track record of developing and implementing environmental management systems and compliance strategies. • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex environmental data. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Proficient in the use of environmental monitoring equipment and software.
