Description

• The primary role for this position is to help set up various predictive models and productionalize the MLOPs pipelines aimed at the growth of our capital lending product while ensuring optimum risk management. • Lightspeed is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with previous credit risk modelling and MLOps experience to join our growing team. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable solutions that drive our organization’s growth and success.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Mathematics. • Over 3+ years of industry experience building machine learning applications in large-scale distributed systems. • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • 2+ years of experience working within a team responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing ML models or ML infrastructure • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R or Java. Expertise in SQL, and data manipulation using libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and sci-kit-learn. • Solid understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, etc. • Experience with ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). • Proven experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in financial services, with successful project delivery. • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling. • Effective communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
