• Provide system operation support for Oracle PPM & Fixed Assets in complex asset-intensive environments, ensuring smooth operation and issue resolution. • Identify areas for improvement within Project Accounting & Capital Assets and execute system improvement initiatives. • Work effectively with business partners, system integrators, and cross-functional teams, ensuring quality assurance of key deliverables and cross-functional integration (data, security, application, and reporting). • Manage daily operational incidents, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, and review break-fix problems. • Engage Business SMEs to gather and derive business and system requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications. • Review cross-functional business processes, identify fit gaps, propose remediation strategies, and assess interdependencies across Oracle ERP modules and integrations. • Maintain business process documentation, identify process improvement opportunities, and ensure proper documentation of systems and their interdependencies. • Participate in quality assurance testing, ensure user requirements are met, and assist in system integration and user acceptance testing. • Provide technical assistance and guidance to business units on information and data derived from various source systems.
• Strong experience in implementing or supporting Oracle PPM, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Financial Accounting Hub, Subledger Accounting, and other integrated Oracle ERP modules. • In-depth understanding of project accounting and capital asset processes including project structures, asset creation and maintenance, unitization, retirement, depreciation, ARO, mass property, lease accounting, etc. • Understanding of asset information, risk management, lifecycle development, and operational excellence, along with managing an AMS (Application Maintenance Service) partner. • Knowledge of accounting treatment of capital items under Canadian GAAP and experience with regulatory filings such as FERC and NEB. • Ability to interpret process flow charts to understand data capture and its movement across various applications and hardware components. • Demonstrated advanced communication skills in multi-disciplinary project meetings, technical reviews, and group training sessions. • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete work within defined timeframes in a fast-paced environment.
