Description

• Manage cross-border tax issues, transfer pricing, and the tax implications of international business transactions. • Identify opportunities for tax optimization and operational efficiencies. Drive initiatives that enhance our overall tax position. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of tax strategies. • Work closely with finance, legal, and business units to provide tax insights and support strategic initiatives. • Collaborate with outside tax advisors and tax counsel, as needed, to ensure effective tax support and guidance. • Oversee and manage tax compliance preparation workstreams. • Stay ahead of changes in tax regulations and adjust our strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, or related field. • A CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification. • 8+ years of experience in tax planning, with a significant portion focused on Canadian tax systems and cross-border experience with the US. • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax concepts. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze financial data and identify tax implications. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals. • A proven track record of managing cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies in a fast-paced environment.
