Description
• Preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements along-with ancillary notes and disclosures and be the first point of contact with auditor/reviewer • Performing AR function, Invoicing, and collection of AR • Supervising AP function, posting and paying AP/credit card bills and ensuring bank accounts are adequately funded at all times • Completing GST/Sales tax filing for Canada and United States • Assisting in preparation of budgets and performing variance analysis • Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger including bank accounts, capital assets, depreciation, prepayments, and intercompany accounts • Ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulatory laws/procedures • Ad hoc projects assigned by senior management
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience with GAAP/IFRS & consolidation in large setups • University degree in accounting or working towards CPA designation • Experienced user of QuickBooks, Expensify, Joiin and/or some ERP • Intermediate to advance level MS office skills, especially Excel, Word, and Power-point • Excellent communication and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines • Solid financial and analytical skills • Detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work with little to no supervision and perform well under pressure • Change leader ready to take up challenges to improve existing processes
