• Responsible for overseeing and participating in the timeliness and quality of financial data entry from the accounting team. • Responsible to oversee and approve financial entries worldwide including accounts payable, expense management, general accounting, accruals, transfer pricing application, etc. • Prepare and support preparation of FreeBalance consolidated and regional financial statements and reports in accordance with company standards. • Act as lead accountant for preparation of specific regional and local financial statements as assigned. • Act as lead and subject matter expert for preparation of complex financial transactions including international labor allocation. • In conjunction with other international A&F team member, oversee and perform detailed financial analysis of worldwide expenses. • Approve all detailed monthly reconciliations of balance sheet schedules for multiple subsidiaries in multiple currencies. • Participate in local audits, and consolidated company audit. • Support VPs in all regional and project financial matters. • Generally support Director of Finance to ensure FreeBalance meets all reporting, tax and audit obligations worldwide. • Monitor and analyze activities to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. • Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance of new business processes and accounting principles.
• Minimum University degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting. • Financial Designation such as CPA, CMA, CGA, CA, or equivalent is considered an asset. • Minimum 5 years advanced accounting, preferably in software industry. • Minimum 2 years of controller / senior accounting position with evidence of leadership over financial reconciliation and statement production. • Tax knowledge in one or multiple countries is considered an asset. • Highly motivated person, with strong analytical skills with multi-tasking abilities. • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. • Strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish considered an asset. • Experience with a variety of ERP financial systems.
