Description

• Analyze real estate financing requests to support business development team • Assist with achieving annual department target volumes of over $1 billion • Maintain real estate financing files from initiation to funding • Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports • Network with partners, clients, and brokers

Requirements

• Proficient underwriting skills with a minimum of 5 years of real estate financing experience • Bachelor degree in business or finance is required. Specialization in Real Estate (eg. Urban Land Economics, Real Property Valuation/Assessment) a definite asset • CFA designation is an asset • Must have experience with construction and CMHC lending guidelines and requirements • Sound technical knowledge of commercial real estate underwriting, financial statement analysis and factors affecting the commercial mortgage market • Effective analytical and problem solving skills • Working knowledge of AML/ATF regulations and Corporate/Legal documentation • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities • Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve goals • Strong negotiation skills • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise, and professional manner
