• Assist in the timely execution and review of month-end activities which includes, but not limited to preparing month-end accruals, account reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting • Process accounts payable which includes processing vendor invoices, reviewing expense reports and corporate credit cards, ensuring proper coding of expenses, and processing payment • Reconciliation of A/R subledger • Process bi-weekly Canadian payroll and record entries related to Canadian and US entities • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow • Prepare monthly GST/QST returns • Respond to transactional accounting questions and identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, providing data to auditors, and responding to audit queries • Assist Controller with special projects as required
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a major in Accounting • CPA accounting designation, or enrolled in a CPA designation path • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/full cycle accounting
