Description

• Work with the data architect and other planners to assess current capabilities and identify high-level data requirements. • Assist the strategy architect, business architect, data architect, data steward, and data owner in defining the data management strategy and data architecture. • Perform complex data analysis to support data management decisions. • Participate in identifying and proposing data management solutions. • Work with the customer, users, application architect, technical architect, data architect, data modeler, business analysts, and application designers to define the data quality and profiling requirements. • Procure sample data sets or access to data sources to be profiled. • Configure and finalize the data profiling tool for data profiling activities. • Execute data profiling activities. • Review the data profiling reports and outcomes to identify areas of concern. • Analyze identified data quality issues against source system and existing data quality capabilities to confirm the source of the data quality issue. • Review the outcomes of data profiling with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Understanding of data processes and principles • Ability to analyze and design data and data processes • Ability to develop product requirements based on input gathered through analysis of data and data solutions • Understanding of existing technology architecture • Knowledge of the business practices and technical processes for which they are responsible • Ability to understand business requirements • Ability to assess data changes for technology impacts • Credible within the business • Able to balance business needs with IT capabilities • Knowledge of business and data rules used to populate data • Strong process viewpoint • Excellent root cause analysis skills • Effective communicator - able to present content and gain buy-in • Ability to review project deliverables for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
