Description
• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations: general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end journal entries, monthly tax filings • Prepare month-end/quarter-end/year-end working papers and management reports • Apply IFRS concepts to transactions while staying up to date with changes in accounting standards • Assist with FP&A initiatives as required such as forecasting, budgeting, key metrics analysis etc. • Assist with the coordination of the annual audit • Safeguard company assets through development of and compliance with internal controls and accounting policies • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives, ad-hoc projects and reporting as assigned
Requirements
• 2+ years professional working experience in accounting or finance functions • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline • Actively pursuing CPA designation • Proficiency with MS Excel • Full-cycle, IFRS accounting experience • Experience with Intuit Quickbooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero • Experience with budgeting and/or forecasting • Experience working in a startup environment • Involvement in systems and process change initiatives
