• Derive test plan for composites material certification from coupons level till full scale components • Work hand in hand with testing suppliers & Labs • Determine & Validate material allowable • Write & Review test requirements, test plans & test results • Support test execution & analyze test results • FEM analysis & validation of composites structures • Support to other internal departments that may require your composite skills
• BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or related degree from an accredited University. • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience. • Experience in material and component testing of composite • Experience with composite laminate design including layup definitions • Knowledge of industry best practices and methodologies (CMH-17, AC 20-107B, FAR 23 & 25 Requirements, ASTM) • Demonstrated FEM proficiency using industry recognized tools • Creation and validation of finite element models at different scale (Global and detailed) to support the composite structures certification process. • Analysis reports and calculation files in computer format. • Basic knowledge of PDM/PLM systems • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Self-motivated, team player. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements • Great communication skills (oral and written) in both English and French
