• Responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, bookkeeping and financial reporting • Work on-site in the Downtown office to support the Finance and Investment teams • Assist with full-cycle bookkeeping in the GL includes accounts payables, account receivables, banking and general journals • Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are posted and cleared within the same period • Assist with journal entries, along with compiling supporting documentation • Prepare related party loan interest schedules • Process vendor payables • Prepare monthly GST remittance • Setup wire/ACH and cash transfers • Bank runs • Assists with quarterly and annual financial procedures, including audits and budgeting • Other administrative and operational tasks as required • Assist senior staff with preparation of quarterly working papers • Assist with preparation of pro forma reporting • Assist with GL variance analysis • Assist Treasury with tracking unfunded commitments • Coordinate processing of legal documents • Support the Accounting team and Operations team as required for ad hoc reporting • Prepare and provide support for audit inquiries • Prepare working papers for notes disclosure in the financial statements • Calculate and process monthly tax installment • Assist with preparation of tax returns and working papers
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting • Strong sense of integrity, professionalism, work ethic, sense of responsibility and confidentiality • Positive growth attitude and team player • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks • Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills • Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment • Strong attention to detail balanced with an awareness of the bigger picture • Results driven and action oriented • 1+ years of relevant experience • Computer skill (word-processing, spreadsheet, databases, etc)
