• Oversees all aspects of operational administration of grant making activities • Responsible for both short- and long-term strategy for grants management • Provides leadership on day-to-day operations of grants management • Reviews and refines Monitoring Learning and Evaluation approach to streamline data collection • Collaborates on short- and long-term budget planning • Ensures compliance, due diligence on potential granting recipients • Coordinates with Finance, Legal, and Program teams for timely execution of payments, • Manages and mentors Grants Management staff and interns
• Fluently bilingual in reading, writing, and speaking is required. • Proven ability to manage and mentor teams. • Experience with disbursing resources and managing budgets. • Strong analytical and evaluative skills. • Knowledge of the charitable sector and key issues, including social change and regulatory frameworks. • Proficiency in grant-making processes and the ability to prepare and review reports/financials. • Experience in project and/or program management, development, planning, and evaluation. • Extensive experience with MS Office suite and competence in using CRM databases. • Relevant field, work, or educational experience. • Ability to build and enhance relationships with key stakeholders including grant awardees. • Confident public speaking and community convening skills. • Strong analytical, research, and report writing skills. • Experience in anti-oppression, decolonization and anti-racism frameworks, etc. • Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating outcome measurements. • Grantmaking experience within the not-for-profit or public sector preferred.
