• The Associate Campaign Director, Major Gifts will be responsible for developing Major Gifts fundraising in consultation and collaboration with colleagues and medical leadership in identifying and gaining/enhancing the interest and involvement of individuals, foundations and corporations capable of making gifts at the $100K+ level. • The Associate Campaign Director will also be responsible for achieving a fundraising goal. • In addition to building relationships and soliciting gifts the incumbent will also ensure excellent stewardship of past and future commitments to the campaigns, to maintain donor involvement, interest and support. • Working closely with active volunteers, and program and hospital leadership, the Associate Campaign Director will be accountable for all aspects of the development, progress and delivery of a capital fundraising campaign, as well as supporting other key program areas. • It is important that the Associate Campaign Director be committed to success, but also comfortable in any setting and sensitive to nuance and making the right approach in each circumstance building on and enhancing the work that is already underway in these portfolios. • Known for their professionalism and integrity, the candidate must also have the ability to work independently while maintaining commitment to the Major Gifts Team and Foundation as a whole.
• A relevant 4-year degree or, a relevant 3-year degree/diploma combined with a professional certification or, an equivalent combination of formal education and relevant experience. • 5-7 years of experience working in fundraising or related field in progressive leadership roles. • Demonstrated major gift development experience with donors including working closely with senior volunteers. • Experience in a large, complex not-for-profit healthcare philanthropy organization is a definite asset. • Exemplary attention to detail with excellent planning, organizational and time management skills • Strong strategic aptitude with a demonstrated ability to problem solve and handle a diverse range of assignments with multiple timelines. • Possess a professional and mature presence with evidence of leadership, sound judgement intuitiveness, tact and diplomacy. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. • Regular business hours, with occasional weekends and evenings required. • Proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and internet tools. Familiarity with and aptitude for Raiser’s Edge required. • Member in good standing of AFP, AHP or CAGP is an asset.
